"Year Zero" als TV-Serie? Neuer Soundtrack? Fan-Remix-Album?

Year Zero

"NIN frontman Trent Reznor has revealed to Kerrang! that he's been working on a story based on his latest album 'Year Zero', which may be made into a television show. "We've got a producer on board and have met with writers," Reznor tells Kerrang!. "If it works, it works and if it doesn't, it doesn't. I'm more interested in it being a television show than a film at this point. We're about to pitch it to the network, so we're a couple of weeks away from meeting all of the main people and we'll see what happens."

Reznor, however, is remaining tight-lipped about how the Orwellian story will unfold. "I don't want to spoil it", he smiles. "It's not formed enough yet to blow it open to everyone. We may record a new soundtrack for the show. We'll see, but there's already the 'Year Zero' record attached to the story. We'll have to see if they opt to broadcast the show first and then we can worry about telling everybody about those sort of things."

Reznor has also been hard at work overseeing a remix album featuring fan's reinterpretations of tracks taken from their 2007 album 'Year Zero', which is yet to see a release date. [...] Reznor has largely been impressed with the standard of remixes submitted by fans. "Some of the stuff we've received is really interesting and occasionally great," he reveals. "Some of the stuff, though, is unbelievably terrible but it's cool that they had their fun with it! Again, there's no real agenda for doing this, other than giving people the opportunity that not many other artists out there do. Why not let people have fun with that?""
