Zum Jahres- der Drummerwechsel: Josh Freese geht, Ilan Rubin kommt.

Ilan Rubin

8 October 2008:
"Josh Freese fans be sure to check out a show on the upcoming North American leg of the tour, as sadly they will be the last ones he’s playing with us. He informed me he’s leaving the tour at the end of this year. Yes, we are still dear friends. No, I’m not sure what we are going to do." [ninblogs.wordpress.com]

15 November 2008:
"With great pride and excitement I announce the addition of Ilan Rubin to the lineup beginning next year. I had the chance to see Ilan playing his ass off at Reading and Leeds a couple summers ago and he blew me away. We recently invited him out to rehearse with us and he blew US away - the perfect guy to pick up the sticks after Josh leaves us at the end of the year." [ninblogs.wordpress.com]

"Ilan Rubin (born July 7, 1988) is the current drummer for the Welsh band Lostprophets and, beginning in 2009, will be the drummer for Nine Inch Nails. He began playing drums at the age of 8 [...] by the age of 9 was ready to play for F.o.N., a band that eventually would do three stints on the Vans Warped Tour [...] In 1999, F.o.N. opened Woodstock on the "Emerging Artist Stage" and, as a result, 11-year-old Ilan gained entry into the Guiness Book of World Records as the youngest musician to ever play on a Woodstock stage [...] He has taken lessons from Blink-182's drummer Travis Barker and David Uosikkinen, drummer of famed '80's band, The Hooters. He is also an accomplished guitarist and classical pianist [...] Ilan started a solo project to work on during Lostprophet's downtime called The New Regime [...] his debut album, Coup will be released on November 18th."
